Biostimulators
A different approach to aging
Biostimulators sit in a different category from traditional filler. Rather than adding volume directly, they prompt your body to produce more of its own collagen in the treated area. The materials we use, poly-L-lactic acid and calcium hydroxylapatite, are gradually broken down and absorbed while the collagen response they trigger builds in their place.
That changes the timeline in ways worth understanding before you start. You will not walk out looking different. Any immediate fullness comes from the fluid the product is mixed with and settles within a few days. The actual result develops over a period of months as new collagen forms, and it usually takes a short series of sessions spaced several weeks apart to get where you are going.
For a lot of patients that gradual arc is the appeal. Nobody clocks a specific day when something changed. The face simply looks better supported and better rested over the course of a season, and because the change comes from your own tissue, it tends to age alongside you rather than sitting on top of your face.

Who It Suits and How It Fits In
Biostimulators work best for broad, diffuse laxity and thinning rather than for one specific line or hollow. Temples that have flattened, cheeks that have lost their overall support, crepey skin along the jawline or the upper chest, and volume loss in the arms or above the knees all tend to respond well. They are less useful for detail work like lip shape, where a traditional filler gives far more precise control.
The two are not mutually exclusive. It is common to build a foundation with biostimulator sessions and then use a small amount of filler for the finishing details, or to run biostimulators alongside skin treatments so you are addressing the deeper support and the surface quality at the same time.
Aftercare
With poly-L-lactic acid we will ask you to massage the treated areas at home for several days after each session, which helps the product distribute evenly. Mild swelling and tenderness are common for a day or two. Beyond that there is very little downtime, and most people return to their normal routine the same day.

How is this different from regular filler?
Filler adds volume the moment it is placed. Biostimulators prompt your body to build collagen, so the result develops over several months instead.
How many sessions will I need?
Most plans run two to four sessions spaced roughly four to six weeks apart, though the number depends on the area and how much support has been lost.
When will I see results?
Typically somewhere between six weeks and three months after your first session, with the fuller result showing once the series is complete.
Is there downtime?
Very little. Expect mild swelling or tenderness for a day or two, and plan to massage the area at home if we use poly-L-lactic acid.
