Hormone Therapy
When Everything Feels Slightly Off
The way hormonal decline usually presents is frustratingly vague. You are tired in a way sleep does not fix. Your patience is shorter than it used to be. Weight settles differently despite nothing changing about how you eat. Sleep is broken. Libido has quietly disappeared. Brain fog makes work harder than it should be. Individually, each one is easy to explain away. Together, they are a pattern.
A lot of people get told their labs are normal and sent home. Normal, though, is a wide range built on population averages, and it does not account for where you personally functioned well. Someone sitting at the very bottom of a reference range can feel genuinely unwell while technically qualifying as fine.
So we test thoroughly and then we listen to what you are actually experiencing. Sex hormones, thyroid including the markers commonly left off a standard panel, cortisol patterning, and metabolic markers, all read alongside your symptoms rather than in isolation from them.

What Treatment Involves
If the full picture supports it, we build a hormone therapy plan around what your labs and your symptoms show together. That might mean estrogen and progesterone support through perimenopause and menopause, testosterone optimization, thyroid support, or addressing the adrenal and cortisol patterns driving your fatigue and disrupted sleep.
Delivery method matters and depends on both the hormone and your life. Creams, oral options, and injections each carry tradeoffs in convenience, in how steady the levels stay, and in how easily the dose can be adjusted. We will talk through those options with you rather than defaulting to one.
Monitoring and Adjusting
Hormone therapy is not something you start and forget about. We recheck labs at intervals, ask detailed questions about how you are actually feeling, and adjust from there. Getting the dose right often takes a few rounds, and the goal is not to chase a number on a page but to have you sleeping, thinking, and feeling like yourself again.
We will also be direct with you about risks and about who is not a good candidate. Hormone therapy is a real medical treatment with a real risk profile, and you deserve a full conversation about that before you decide anything.
Comprehensive testing, a plan matched to your symptoms as well as your numbers, and regular adjustment until you feel like yourself again.

How do I know if my hormones are the problem?
You often do not until you test. Fatigue, poor sleep, mood changes, weight shifts, and low libido appearing together are worth investigating properly.
My doctor said my labs were normal. Why test again?
Standard panels are often narrow and reference ranges are broad. We test more comprehensively and read the results against your symptoms.
How long until I feel a difference?
Sleep and energy often shift within a few weeks. Changes in body composition and mood usually take a few months of consistent treatment.
Is hormone therapy safe?
It carries real risks that depend on your history, your age, and which hormones are involved. We go through all of that in detail before you start anything.
